my first master grade : MG 1/100 RX-78 ver1.0

this MG is said to be the first MG produced by Bandai, year 1995. It has been stop from the production since ver1.5 and ver2.0 is already in market. Newer version possess a lot of improvement in articulation and mechanical design compared to ver1.0. I got this from my dad as he made it as my reward for performing good in UPSR back in 2001. A piece of rare item these days.

yesterday, me n my adik went to midvalley to kill some time. tot going to watch some movie. tapi x sempat ah. I told adik that my car is still using cassette to play records. so we do something weird. trying to find if there are any music store that sell music cassette.
we searched across midvalley. went to speedy, rock wtf i can't remember the store name, jusco music section, n more.

no more cassette found. not a single one. even the Beatles is on CD. all of the records.
for me n adik, cassette which is a proud of its days, has been left out from the picture. welcome to the digital age.

MG 1/100 GN-X

hi all. got this thing delivered to me couple of days back. MG 1/100 GN-X.
lets see the artwork on front of the box.

the sides info..wish i understand japs

got the sprues out with manual. its time to assemble this SOB.

the GN drive [tau] unit. they give a base for it if u want to display the drive.

the hand unit. i thought all the fingers are movable. urgh..the last 3 fingers is joined together.

head unit+body unit+GN drive. seriously, the feel of making the body unit is weird.its not like standard MG. mayb because of the design?exia skel.

leg unit.damn this unit got lots of part.

flex test.GN-X can fold its leg like this.quite good even with full armor.

cockpit block.where is it?

guess what?its on the balls.or between 2 balls?haha

some pose.oh yeah, GN-X cannot stand with real stability.shocks and it falls. i suppose because of the design is for air /flight combat.(GN-X never seen in ground battle as far as i know).find a stand for pose.

all in all..ZAKU is still the best.

the GN-X is not completed yet. i mean the weaponry. i still don't assemble them. in days i'mma do it.

overall plus minus

plus: nice design. high detail. highly pose-able. no fancy color.
minus: loose joints(damn it..) unstable n need stand.

MS-06R-1A ZAKU II S.MATSUNAGA CUSTOM

bought this model kit last weekend, MS-06R-1A ZAKU II. actually I wanted to buy MS-06F because it is simple yet classic. but it gone out of stock at Kiroro. so after putting some thought + pau opinion, I go for this one.


and it is S.Matsunaga's custom. never heard of Matsunaga before. gonna google bout it later.

open the box, you will see this. lots to be put together for this zaku. 1A got more complicate leg booster than other zakus. so it need more pieces.

the manual. honestly I don't fancy the front cover. but nevermind. the content is so detail and helpful.

the hand parts for zaku MG is quite ok to assemble. these are with armor attached

body unit+head unit. the hose is pain in the ass..you need to have strong fingers to pull the hose rings. seriously, i had a hard time assembling this MG zaku. my 1st MG is not as hard as this (RX78-2)

the leg unit. MG zaku got high detail skeleton even with no functionality. worth buying it! but again, to assemble the power hose, my fingers got screwed pretty bad. but it just for a short while.

finished assembled! no paint. i actually noob at painting. gonna leave it like this first.

thats it. zaku is the best mobile suit of all time. =D
