remaking of Horten Ho-229

last year, engineers and technicians at Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Systems sector in El Segundo had rebuilt the infamous Horten Ho-229 (or sometimes known as Gotha Go 229).

the so-called Hitler's stealth fighter was being tested whether it is stealth or not. Northrop Grumman has a long history in all-wing aircraft designs and they also built the famous B-2 stealth bombers. Using high tech model shop in El Segundo, they built a replica of Horten Ho-229 which is slightly lighter than the original.

it is concluded that Horten Ho-229 is stealthy. The allied force can be considered lucky because Horten Ho-229 does not enter the war. with that kind of speed and stealth ability, Nazi should turn the tide of war but Horten Ho-229 came too late to be mass-produced. Supposedly no other operational aircraft that surpass Horten Ho-229 until many years after WWII. Just image what other unrevealed Nazi secret projects can actually do. The technologies is too far ahead of that time.

AWEsome keyboard!

check this out dudes...The Virtual Laser Keyboard a.k.a VKB. keyboard without key! just bluetooth to connect and there u go. can be used with PDA since ur (n mine) PDA got tiny keyboard.
actually this stuff has been around since 2000.kinda late for now. never mind bout that. the most important, this thing is awesome..yeahh..

type on anywhere.
projecting keyboard!

want it? visit here.

so..how they did that..i mean what is the secret behind it?
shown on the website too.n yes for lazy bums, just read it on my page.

How they do it

Step 1: Template creation (Projection Module)
  • The desired interface template is projected onto the surface(for this case,a keyboard image).
  • The template is produced by illuminating holographic optical element with a red diode laser.
hey, this step is not involved in detection. just for you to see where's where.

Step 2: Reference plane illumination (Micro-illumination ModuleTM)
  • An infra-red plane of light is generated parallel to the interface surface.
can't see the light plane with naked eyes. and it located just milimeters above the surface.
  • When the user touches a key position on the interface surface light is reflected from this plane in the vicinity of the key and directed towards the sensor module.

Step 3: Map reflection coordinates (Sensor Module)
  • Reflected light from user interactions is passed to a sensor using infra-red filter
  • Custom hardware embedded in the sensor chip (the Virtual Interface Processing CoreTM) then makes a real-time determination of the location of the reflected light.
  • best part is, it support multiple reactions. so alt+F4 is not a problem.just like old time..
